The artist & his Vision: RUBEN CARRASCO

HUMMINGBIRD HUNTER

HYBRID NEOSHAMANISM | When Urban Art Reconciles Nature & Future

The Breath, the Pen, the Way

Ruben Carrasco is not just an artist: he is a builder of urban mythologies. Mexican-Canadian, he forges a language where ritual memory meets the growth of cities. Self-taught since the age of 19, he has refined his practice between Cancun and Montreal. He has worked in a variety of image-based professions, nourishing a precise, narrative, and profoundly multi-media style.

For over twenty years, he has been creating frescoes and public interventions across several continents. His universes map a unique territory: the coexistence of the living and the future. The use of a simplified iconography that enhances meaning, precise drawing, and highly legible compositions provide undeniable clarity.

The Vision of RUBEN CARRASCO

At the heart of Ruben Carrasco's work: the fragile relationship between humanity and nature. Human, living, and technology do not oppose each other; they are in harmony. The artist summons totem animals and modern shamans (suits, masks, feathers, reinvented tools) as if they were evolving in a future ecology where the sacred and innovation cooperate.

Its iconography, nourished by indigenous cultures and a measured pop-surrealism, forms a singular, readable and immediately identifiable cosmogony.

A visual neo-shamanism where gentleness has the strength of evidence.

Art as a Gathering

Ruben Carrasco is an artist of connection. Bringing together the living and the city, ritual and technology, gentleness and precision. His painting remains narrative: it raises questions rather than asserts truths. Through deep textures, illusions of movement, controlled contrasts, and color acting as a common thread, his works offer a framework for interpretation while leaving room for personal narrative: Where am I going? What guides me? What must I protect myself from in order to listen better?

Beyond the studio, Carrasco organizes the meeting: co-founder of IPAF and FIAP, initiator of the 5 Wolves No Pigs collective, he creates ecosystems where public art circulates, transmits and connects. His projects fully engage him: large-scale murals for Xcaret, Vive Latino, urban art workshops with the Louvre Museum and the Quai d'Orsay, constant dialogue with Parisian institutions like the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature.

Each of his creations becomes a rallying point. To look, understand, and act.

HIS WORK | HUMMINGBIRD HUNTER

Ruben Carrasco, a leading figure in visual neo-shamanism, powerfully embodies the spirit of Just Art Paris: making art a living, emotional, and shared experience. He reinvents the ritual with Hummingbird Hunter for Just Art Paris: a modern shaman facing a guiding hummingbird, a blue arrow launcher that transforms force into intention, and the imprint of Nirvana as a state of inner clarity that guides the gaze.

Each piece in this limited and numbered collection is much more than a garment: it is a living work, a direction to be worn, a fragment of vision to be collected.

With his black and white contrasts, his blue accents as a code of clarity and his spiritual bestiary, Ruben Carrasco gives fashion a ritual and contemporary soul . Discover a collection where art is worn , lived and shared .

Ruben Carrasco: Roots & Recognition

At the crossroads of ritual and the future , Ruben Carrasco circulates his language from the wall to large cultural stages and immersive installations.

A universe that is written at the crossroads of personal stories , editorial references and an ethic of means .

Mexican Roots — The Meaning of Animals

In Carrasco's work, the animal is never decorative: it is chosen according to the place and local history . His relationship with animals (childhood between countryside and city, family rites) establishes this contextual choice . Always telling the story of a place through its bestiary.

Less Matter, More Meaning — Consistency & Precision

Carrasco claims an economy of means (brushwork, little painting) in line with his subjects: getting to the essential, letting the image breathe, questioning our contradictions (travel, technology) rather than moralizing.

5 Wolves No Pigs — The Collective

Founder of the collective 5 Wolves No Pigs , Carrasco conceives of art as an ecosystem and mutual aid : opening up fields, connecting artists, circulating the experience of the wall to the world.

Over time, Ruben Carrasco has refined his work at the crossroads of worlds: between ancestral and contemporary, visible and invisible, ritual and commitment.

A tireless traveler and visual thinker, he draws his inspiration from Mayan myths, shamanic traditions, and vanished civilizations to better speak to today's world.

With Just Art Paris, he brings together sacred art and contemporary fashion. Each garment becomes a portable rite , a bridge between cultures and consciences. Through this collection, Ruben reminds us that art is not a simple image, but a spiritual experience to be embodied .

And this is only the beginning, for Ruben Carrasco, each body is a sanctuary , each look a possibility of transmission.
